If I don't do it, how can I expect anyone else to do it?
So, how can I put God first in my life so that others can (hopefully) do the same, so that all the insane stupidity and downright evil that occurs daily in this country and its institutions and government can be reversed?
Does that sound naive to you?
I don't see any other effective way.
"Value" voting is out. You can't vote for values because politicians have none.
Voting, period, seems to be out (remember voting machines?)
Grass roots activism is seductive and claims an incredible amount of your time and yields very little visible result.
Bitching about things is out because it doesn't change anyone's mind.
"Changing the system from the inside" is out because the system only changes YOU, instead.
Just praying that things will get better is out, because God can't hear you if you're not doing what he wants for you.
Christians are of little help. Most of them are just following their spiritually impotent and prostrated pastors into government compliance.
Armed resistance/revolution? In the 1770's, both the people and the government of England had essentially the same weapons. Today, this is near impossible. Besides, the Founders only won with the help of God.
So - we're back to "God first!"
