You are powered by Jesus Christ himself, who resides inside you, but you still have your sin nature and you are subject to temptations everywhere, all of the time.
You read and study the Word of God so you can think Christ's thoughts every day in your life whenever you remember and choose to do so. You can literally switch from your sin-based human default thinking to Christ's thinking at any moment in your life, again and again if you know you have that power - and if you DECIDE to do so!
In other words, being saved by faith alone in Christ alone gives you an option. It gives you the option to "opt out" of your sin-nature determined thinking and doing and to live your life with discernment, clarity, purpose, love, and power. Not the power over others that the world so adores, but the power of the Holy Spirit who indwells you.
You now have the power to apply Biblical divine principles (problem-solving tools) in every moment of your life - but you must learn about them first. Before you can properly assimilate them by studying them, you must confess any known sins you have committed to God the Father in the privacy of your own mind so he can forgive you those as well as all of your past unknown, unrealized, and forgotten sins, as well.
That divine forgiveness cleans your slate with God. You are then filled with the Holy Spirit and you can assimilate the lessons learned from reading the Bible and allow the principles they teach to guide your Life.
All of this is only a DECISION away from you.
It does not matter what you have done, or how bad or evil or morally twisted you think you are. There is no need for walking down any church aisles and laying yourself bare before any congregation. There are no mental, emotional, or physical hoops to jump through to access this power. It is yours for the taking. God is literally aching for you to have it! After all, he came here in flesh and blood in the form of Jesus Christ (the "Son") in order to suffer on the Cross so he could take all of your past, present and future sins along with the past, present, and future sins of all of humanity (past, present, and future) away from you and have them judged in his own human body by God the "Father".
All of this is miraculous, spiritual, and divine in nature. It is not subject to empirical "proof". It does not make purely logical sense (unless you accept certain premises beforehand). It can only be accessed by Faith. Faith alone in Christ alone - and faith is ultmiately nothing more than a DECISION you make (or don't make) at some point in your life.
Once you have made that decision, you are saved. You have the mark of spiritual truth on you and you are destined for eternity in God's presence. If you decide not to appropriate and later express this faith, you have destined yourself, by your decision not to believe, for eternity in utter disconnect from God. Eternity with God is called "Heaven." Eternity without God is called "Hell." Yes, it sounds harsh - but, hey! What does it matter to you? If you don't believe, none of this makes any difference. You couldn't care less because neither heaven nor hell are real, right?
This decision is a private one. It is only between you and God, in the privacy of your own mind. Nobody needs to know you are making it. You need no one's approval, and you don't have to worry about anyone's condemnation. It is just between you and your Maker.
Here comes the big point:
It is this decision and your capacity to make it why the entire thrust of "the world" of man (the world of genetically sin-infected man) is so hell-bent (literally) to deprive you of the power of your ability to make this decision. This is the reason why anti-Liberty ideologies and religions want you to believe that (a) you don't really have that power, and (b) if they can't make you believe that, that you shouldn't be allowed to exercise it - for the "greater good of humanity."
The US Constitution, and especially the First Article of Amendment to the Bill of Rights guarantee you this right and protects it from all federal government interference. It is the foundation of all other rights you have!
The spiritual battle in which all Americans find themselves today is waged on the battlefield of the First Amendment - and the first sentence of the First Amendment deals with freedom of onscience, also known as the "freedom of religion."
You must be able to decide, for yourself, without interference from anyone or anything, whether or not to believe that God became man to take your sins upon himself so that you could be forever free!
Note that this doesn't mean you "have to" make that decision. It says you must have the POWER to make that decision. That power is yours, and it was given to you by God, who wants you to be free. Free to love him or to turn away from him. You obviously have that power even if you don't believe in him. It is unconditional. He truly is the God of Freedom.
America's 'apostors' have failed to deliver that message and to emphasize it, over and over again so that it becomes common knowledge among Americans. They have failed to point out to you that it is your absolute right and even divine duty to preserve that right and power, for yourself and for all those around you, whether they believe in Christ or don't. They have failed to exhort you to hold your political representatives accountable to you and everyone else for making sure that no laws get passed that infringe with those essential freedoms the Bill of Rights guarantees to you.
As a result, we have a population that couldn't give a damn about those absolutely essential rights anymore. They just want what they think is theirs, they want it for free (i.e., they want somebody else to pay for it, and they want to use government's power to take it away from those who can pay for it "for the greater good of (blah, blah, blah)."
Meanwhile, these same lazy and demon-influenced apostors have taught you that you should work hard, pay "your" taxes (hint: they aren't really yours) and obey father state in all things because the Bible says your rulers are appointed by God and work for the good of you and everyone else. (Romans 13) Because of this, your government is able to confiscate your wealth and use it to finance the wholesale deprivation of the most fundamental rights God has given to you, your power to decide how to live your life in Liberty, so you can no longer make the decision for or against Him, effectively.
Let me tell you: that is decidedly not the Christian Life! Instead, the Christian Life empowers to you stand against this soft-pedaled tyranny of the pulpit. The Christian Life empowers you to see through its machinations and find (or form) your own congregation so that the gospel of Liberty can reach its intended recipients without falsification and confusion. It isn't hard to explain this to someone. You only need to know about it, first.
Now you do.
